To determine if a vibration is vehicle- or engine-speed related, the easiest thing to do is slip the transmission into neutral and let the vehicle coast when the vibration is most noticeable. If the vibration continues, then the vibration is vehicle-speed related. Likewise, if the vibration subsides, the vibration is engine-speed related.

Dec 23, 2019 · Regarding the vibration, the bike has never fallen over or anything. I noticed the vibration immediately at idle. Once it warmed up a little, I gave the throttle a twist up to ~6k RPM to flush the rest of the water out, that's when I really felt it. This was after about 3-5 minutes at idle, so the bike may not have been fully warmed up though.

Oct 17, 2019 · Exhaust cracks are one case in point. An engine vibration near the FAA limit of 1.2 inches per second (AC 20-37E) can easily generate displacements of 0.060 of an inch. That doesn’t seem like much, but imagine an exhaust pipe that is held at one end and then shaken at 0.060″ at 40 Hz for hundreds of hours.
Hey, Had an issue with my old exhaust where it was rattling/vibrating, anyway to cut a long story short i had a whole new exhaust system fitted (better one). Anyway i have noticed a vibration/rattling noise when coming down the gears and revving whilst stationary. It sounds quite tinny...
The exhaust pipe going through the Quad is vibrating on a rubber mount. This is causing vibration and will eventually cause a hole. There are three bolts holding the mount in a triangle shape. The bolt to the lower left is causing the noise.
